A religious service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at First United
Methodist Church in Thibodaux for Evelyn Gaar Richardson, 70, a native of
Winnfield and resident of Thibodaux, who died at 1:10 am. Nov. 27, 1997.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, and 8 a.m. until funeral time at
Landry's Funeral Home.
Burial will be at the St. John Episcopal Cemetery.
She was the wife of John “Jack” H. Richardson; daughter of Frances Ford Gaar; mother of John M. Crosby G. and H. Louis Richardson, Martha South and Mary Sue Lyle; sister of William G. Gaar and Katherine Womack. She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Crosby Gaar Sr., and a brother
Gordon Crosby Jr.
Donations to First United Methodist Church, 1255 Canal Blvd., Thibodaux, are
preferred.
Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her husband John “Jack” Richardson; mother, Frances
Ford Garr; three sons, John Richardson. Crosby Richardson, H. Louis
Richardson; two daughters, Martha South, Mary Sue Lyle; one brother, William
Gaar; one sister, Katherine Womack; and ten grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gordon Gaar Sr.; one brother,
Gordon Gaar Jr.
