Evelyn Lowrey Hubbard
May 20, 1924 - August 30, 2011

Evelyn Lowrey Hubbard, 87, of Columbus, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at the Columbus Hospice House. A graveside funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 31, 2011, in Parkhill Cemetery. The Reverend Scott Hagan will officiate.

Mrs. Hubbard was born May 20, 1924 in Marvel, Alabama, the daughter of W. Ross and Ann Stewart Lowrey. Mrs. Hubbard had lived in Columbus most of her life and had retired as a medical assistant for Dr. Floyd Jarrell and Dr. John Newton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Hubbard, and a daughter, Susan H. Brooks.

Survivors include two daughters, Madelyn H. Greene of Raleigh, N.C., and Ann H. Williams of Columbus; a son-in-law, Marvin Brooks of Griffin, GA; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Wilson, Michelle Brinson, Lowrey McCabe, Abby Miller, Molly Williams, and Steve Williams; and 3 great grandchildren, Hannah Wilson, Samantha Wilson, and Singer Brinson.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Columbus Hospice for their loving care and attention.
