NORMAN PARK, GA. - Evelyn Ruth Freeman Elliott AKA Jazzy, 77, of Norman Park, died Sunday, February 14, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Southside Baptist Church in Norman Park with the Rev. John Myrick and the Rev. Tim Vanlandingham officiating.
Born February 8, 1939 in Waco, Tx., she was the daughter of the late W.W. Freeman and Ellen “Addie” Merritt Blackshere. She held many jobs, but her passion was being Jazzy-La-Clown for children and adults. She loved the Art Center, its staff and painting with the senior class.
She was preceded in death by her son, Normand Griffith Elliott; grandson, Cheyenne Nail; brother, Billy Ford.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Elliott of Norman Park; three daughters, Sherri Nail and Clayton, Tina Jolly and Richard, Leona Griffith; two sisters, Ann Valverdie, Peggy Ann Zuckero; six grandchildren, Pebbles Trapp, Anitra Griffin, Charles Ray Griffin, Dr. Venus Nabors and Rusty, Wynter Kaminski and Matt, Danae Sweeten and Ben; eight-great-grandchildren, Bastian Elliott, Zavier Trapp, Trenton Frailey, Kristen Frailey, Ethan Arigon, Logan Jolly, Remington Kaminski and Ruby Eve-Marie Nabors; one great-great-grandson, Linus Elliott Rathel; special family members; Rubin and Joann Stoval, Melba Stevenson, Jacklyn Murphy and Southside Baptist Church Members.
