Evelyn Sutton Crum

Services for Evelyn Sutton Crum, of Baton Rouge, La. and a native of Brookhaven, are noon Monday, Oct. 22, at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge with burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Monday.

Mrs. Crum, 93, died Oct. 19, 2007, at her residence.

She was a retired nurse from the ``old'' Lady of the Lake Hospital, where she worked for over 30 years.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Leslie P. Crum; her parents, Grover C. Sutton and Molly Sutton; and two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Jackie Darbonne of Baton Rouge and Bernita Hood and husband Clifton, of Maurepas, La.; her sister, Vestelle Morgan, of Walker; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wax Road Church of Christ Building Fund.

Evelyn Crum

Evelyn S. Crum, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Brookhaven, Miss., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at her home. She was 93.

Mrs. Crum was a retired nurse from the ``old'' Lady of the Lake Hospital for 30 years. She was a member of the Wax Road Church of Christ. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Visitation was at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Sunday and at the funeral home chapel on Monday until religious services, officiated by Valmond Wallace. Interment was in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survivors include two daughters, Jackie Darbonne of Baton Rouge and Bernita Hood and husband Clifton B. Hood Sr. of Maurepas; sister, Vestelle Morgan of Walker; four grandchildren and spouses, Rory Hood of Baton Rouge, Tina Price of Maurepas, Sherie and Jonny Lynn of Athens, Ga., Dwayne and Deanna Nealy of Denham Springs, Joseph ``Tater'' Darbonne of Gonzales, Dean and Patricia Darbonne of Villa Rica, Ga., and Patrick Darbonne of Gonzales; eight great-grandchildren, David, Molly and Michael Price, all of Gonzales, Courtney Storey, Daniel Nealy and Jonluke Wild, all of Denham Springs, and Michael and Angela Hulsey, both of Athens; and three great-great-grandchildren, Elijah Price of Moss Bluff, Jenna Clair and Chloe Story, both of Denham Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie P. Crum; father, Grover C. Sutton; mother, Molly Sutton; two brothers and two sisters.
