Funeral services for Evie E. Johns, 93, of Winnsboro were held Thursday at Lone Cedar Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating.
Interment followed at Ogden Cemetery under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mrs. Johns died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999 at Franklin Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a resident of Franklin Parish, a homemaker and a member of Lone Cedar Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by a son, James Edward Johns; and a grandson, Andre S. Johns.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, James T. and Ann Johns, Baton Rouge; Edward and Ella V. Johns, Houma; sister, Sarah Erskin, Winnsboro; dear devoted friends, Nancy McFarland and Patrick Davis, both of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Becki Johns, Winnsboro; Cindy Johns, Baton Rouge; Jeff and Lori Lafferty, Jacksonville, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Nathan Mixon, Baton Rouge; Warren Mixon, Jacksonville, Fla.; Jim Dawson and Aimee Dawson, both of Baton Rouge; Ashley Dawson, Caleb Moinot Lafferty, Missy Lafferty, Jennifer Lafferty and Jordan Lafferty, all of Jacksonville, Fla.; Ian Callohan and Blair Callohan, both of Houma; great-great-granddaughter, Katlin Dawson.
Pallbearers were Anthony Johns, Patrick Davis, Don Bennett, Kent Bennett, Rod Elrod and Caleb Moinot Lafferty.
