Ezra Walters' Funeral Today
Funeral services for Ezra Luther Walters, 68, of 409 New Natchitoches Rd., West Monroe, were at 2:30 p.m. today at the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.
The Rev. Bobby Brown officiated with burial at Crowville Masonic Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.
He died Sunday unexpectedly at his home.
Mr. Walters was a native of Rankin, Miss., and had resided in West Monroe for the past 23 years where he owned and operated Walters Grocery Store. He was a member of the Brownville Baptist Church in West Monroe and the Crowville Masonic Lodge, No. 370.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Fannie Busby Walters of West Monroe; three brothers, Oscar Walters of Houston, Tex., Luther Walters and Quitman Walters, both of Crowville; six sisters, Mrs. Malinda Wright and Mrs. Lola Busby, both of Winnsboro, Miss Laura Walters and Mrs. Effie Prestridge, both of Crowville, Mrs. Monnie Mae Turner and Mrs. Jimmie Blasengame, both of Monroe.
Masons will serve as pallbearers.
