MRS. FANNIE E. JONES
WAYNESBORO, Miss. -- Mrs. Fannie Edna Jones, resident of Central Community of Wayne County died in Doctors Hospital at Mobile, Ala., Friday, after a few days illness.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, from Chapparal [sic Chaparral] Baptist Church. Burial will be in Waynesboro Cemetery under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro.
Mrs. Jones was born and reared in the Chapparal [sic Chaparral] Community, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Chapman of Chapparal [sic Chaparral]. She had lived in Wayne County all of her life and was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was employed at Singley Radio TV Service of Waynesboro.
Survivors include a son, Sam B. Jones Jr., Route 2, Waynesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Alma Jane Downey, Route 2, Waynesboro; stepmother, Mrs. Daisy Chapman, Hiwannee; a brother, J. L. Chapman, Wayne County; three sisters, Mrs. Mamie Weaver, Mrs. Eva Jones, Mrs. Nellie Mae Bishop, all of Wayne County, and 10 grandchildren.
