Mrs. Lowrey's rites are held in Powderly
Funeral services were held at Powderly Baptist Church today for Mrs. Fannie Mae Lowrey, 54, Powderly church leader.
Mrs. Lowrey, who lived at 2122 31st-st. sw, died Monday after an illness of six weeks.
A resident of Birmingham 35 years, she was a member of the choir of the Powderly Baptist Church, worked in the nursery department of the church and was a member of the WCTU.
Surviving are her husband, C. K. Lowrey; a son, James Lamar Lowrey and two grand children.
The Rev. E. C. Houston officiated at the services and the church choir sang.
Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, with Johns-Ridout's in charge.
Active pallbearers were C. G. Fant, F. A. Jones, W. R. Langner Jr., W. R. Langner Sr., Charles Harris and F. A. Bradford.
Deacons of the Powderly Baptist Church were honorary pallbearers.
