Mrs. H. Phelps

Funeral services for Mrs. H. Phelps, 68, resident of 329 Duncan Ave., will be at 4 p.m. Friday in the Wright & Ferguson Chapel with Dr. W. Douglas Hudgins officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Phelps died late Wednesday night at her home after an extended illness.

She was a native of Rankin County, the former Fannie Searcy, daughter of the late Mack Searcy and Sara Catherine Purvis Searcy.

She had been a resident of Jackson since 1923, where she had for many years been a registered nurse. She received her training in the old Jackson Infirmary. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include: her husband; one son, H. Henry Phelps, of Miami; two grandchildren, Lee Anne Phelps and Susan Phelps, of Miami; three brothesr [sic brothers], J. C. Searcy, Sr., of Puckett, Rom Searcy of Jackson, and L. Searcy of Collins; and one sister, Mrs. E. Moore, of Jackson.

Her nephews will serve as pallbearers.
