Mrs. Fannie Coats

Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Coats, 81, of 728 North Beckley, a Dallas resident for more than 50 years, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Anderson-Clayton Funeral Chapel in Mesquite with Dr. Wallace Bassett officiating. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery near Mesquite.

Mrs. Coats, widow of Wake Coats, who was connected with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office for a number of years, died Friday in a Dallas hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Coats was born in Louisiana March 27, 1877, and moved to Mesquite when she was a child. She came to Dallas in 1906.

Survivors are one son, Barney C. Coats of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Brittie Stinson of Dallas; one brother, W. E. Strange of Eugene, Ore.; and one sister, Mrs. Charles Nordyke of Stephenville, Erath County.
