Faye Hatten
RANTOUL -- Faye A. Hatten, 88, of Rantoul passed away on Sunday (July 11, 2010) at Provena Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lux Memorial Chapel, 1551 East Grove, Rantoul. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Rantoul.
A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at Lux Memorial Chapel.
She was born on July 19, 1921, in Champaign, a daughter of Robert and Lois (McCulloch) VanDam. She married Richard Hatten on Jan., 11, 1945, in Rantoul. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1999.
She is survived by a daughter, Charlotte Craft of Rantoul; a sister, Mary Schooley of Rantoul, formerly of Penfield; two grandchildren, Garett (Shelley) Craft of Ludlow and Stacy (Ben Wackler) Craft of Champaign; and three great-grandchildren, Caruso, Clementine and Cabott.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Faye spent her summers in Wisconsin and enjoyed vegetable gardening and fishing. She will always be remembered for her rhubarb upside-down cake.
