Fern Kirksey Kennedy, 89, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Waco Memorial Park. No visitation is scheduled.

Fern was born in Brownwood, Texas, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Bob, Bill, Doss, and Jay; and sisters, Letha, Nautie, and Nona; husbands, James S. Beverly of Gatesville, Jack Spruiell of Donie, and Brown Kennedy of May; and a son, Stephen Spruiell of Waco.

Fern was a member of the Army Air Corps during World War II stationed in England in telephone communications.

She is survived by a son, Ron Beverly and his wife, Pam, of Waco; three grandsons, Jason Beverly of Nashville, and Eric Beverly and Zachary Spruiell of Waco; and three great grandchildren, Ilamae, Caden, and Melrose Beverly.
