F. A. Prescott dies in accident
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. December 5 at Guinn-Horger Funeral Chapel for Finis Alanzo [sic Alonzo] Prescott, age 51, who died in an automobile accident near his resident [sic residence] Sunday, December 3, 1972.
Born in Minden, Louisiana April 4, 1921 Mr. Prescott was a Security Guard at Gary Aircraft. He and his wife, the former Mary Emma Britsch, lived in Hondo and were member of New Fountain Methodist Church. A veteran he was a member of the VFW and Herman Sons. Mr. Prescott was the son of the late James and Etta (Schweers) Prescott.
Mr. Prescott is also survived by one son, James Marvin Prescott, and one daughter, Valerie Ann Prescott, both of Hondo.
Also surviving are one brother, James M. Prescott of Hondo; and four sisters, Mrs. Mavis Stockbridge, Hondo, Mrs. Bud (Cascille) Weeden, Turlock, Calif., Mrs. Clayton (Hazel) Redfield, San Antonio, and Mrs. Joe (Dorothy) Embrey, also of Hondo.
Rev. L. S. Dubberly of New Fountain Methodist Church officiated at the service. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Hondo.
Pallbearers were Bobby Britsch, Charles Britsch, Butch Britsch, Horace Britsch, John Healy and Merle Wiemers.
Arrangements were handled by Guinn-Horger Funeral Home of Hondo.
