Mrs. Pierce, 77, Dies In Gilbert

Mrs. Flora Ann Pierce, 77, died Wednesday morning at her home in Gilbert after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m., at the Gilbert Methodist church, with the Rev. Collins, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jno. R. Campbell, pastor of the First Baptist church of Gilbert. Burial, under the direction of the First National Funeral home of Winnsboro, will be in Holly Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Pierce is survived by two sons, Carl Pierce, Camden, Ark., and Joseph Harrington of Winnsboro; three daughters, Mrs. Allen Freeman, Foxworth, Miss., Mrs. Will Waller, Gilbert, and Mrs. D. F. Chase, Gilbert; two brothers, Daniel Stephens, Wisner, and Peter Stephens, Tampa, Fla. a sister, Mrs. Lucy Robinson, Gilbert; and 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be A. G. Corbitt, Berry Gardner, Chevis Sherrouse, Steve Corbin, B. R. Gunn, Neil Chase, Henry Womble and Harry Roundtree.

Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Shelton, Robert Rogers, Paul Hammond, Richard McLemore, Brown McLemore, Rinean Griffin, J. A. Jones, Marion Shelton, Elmer Emfinger, Frank McNair, Elzie Turner, Ben McCoy, Chas. Sherrouse, Lannie Calhoun, Sr., Lannie Calhoun Jr., James Jones, Wallace Thornburg, George Broadway, J. D. Johnson, Robert Kelly, W. M. Latham, Will and Jesse Ezell.
