DEES

Mrs. Flora O. Canfield Dees, 77, of Escatawpa, Miss., died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, in Mobile, Ala. She was born Oct. 27, 1928, in Escatawpa. Mrs. Dees was a retired seamstress from the Cinderella Woolen Mills. She was a lifetime member of Safe Harbor United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dees enjoyed life and loved serving God.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Mr. Henry R. and Mrs. Robbie Spradley Canfield, two husbands, Charlie Clifton Dees and Elmer Horace ``Pat'' Flanigan, three brothers, Carl Edward Canfield, Wallace Canfield and Ray Canfield and a sister, Henrietta Bertram.

Mrs. Dees is survived by her two daughters, Linda Wilson of Lucedale, Miss., and Rhonda Hanna of Three Rivers, Miss.; three sisters and two brothers in-law, Victoria and Dowe Oliver of Harleston, Miss., Robbie Lee and Glenn Hardy of Escatawpa, Miss., and Clara Louise Hudson of Moss Point, Miss.; two sisters in-law, Nola Canfield of Mansfield, La., and Alda Ray Canfield of Escatawpa; nine grandchildren, Tim and Sylvia Wilson, Mark and Kathy Wilson, Amy and Mike Brewer, Chrissy and Harlen Cooley, Mellonie and Dean Fallon, Michael Wilson, Jennifer Hanna, Jamie and Tony Hand and Jenna Hanna; 15 great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; one great great-grandson on the way; a special niece, Twila Canfield of Escatawpa; a very special and dear friend, Marie Colvin of Big Point, Miss.; and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, Aug. 21, 2006, at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2006. from Safe Harbor United Methodist Church in Escatawpa with Rev. Gene Vance and Rev. John Tucker officiating.

There will be a one hour visitation in the church prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Machpelah Cemetery, Pascagoula.

Pallbearers will be Harlen Cooley, Tony Hand, Charlie Lightsey, Patrick Brewer, D.J. Fallon, Bunker Fallon, Jordan Fallon and Duke Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Brewer, Twila Canfield and the Katie Mae Hulbert Sunday School Class of Safe Harbor U.M.C.
