Mrs. R. J. Prickett
Mrs. R. J. Prickett of Winnsboro died after a brief illness
Tuesday at Rogers Clinic. Ninety three years old, she had
lived in Franklin parish for 76 years. She was born
January 6, 1870 at Richland Parish and was a member of Boeuf
Prairie Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Prickett are:
six children, Lucy Prickett and W. F. Prickett, both of
Winnsboro, Lynn Prickett of El Dorado, Ark., Percy Prickett
of Pine Bluff, Ark., Mrs. G. M. Jones of Dermott, Ark., and
Joseph Prickett of Extension; 10 grandchildren, eight
great grandchildren; and one brother, Benjamin Bryan, Port
Arthur, Tex.
Funeral services were held at Mulhearn
Funeral Chapel of Winnsboro at 10 a. m.. Thursday. The Rev.
Lamont Rouse was assisted in conducting the services by the
Rev. Clarence Young.
Interment followed in New
Winnsboro Cemetery. Pallbearers were Fred Nielsen,
Frank Furr, Ray Prickett, James Donnell, Robert Lowe and
Stuart Fluitt.
