Ex-Bryan Woman Dies on March 3

Old time friends in Brazos county will regret to learn of the death of Mrs. Florence Bullock on March 3 at the home of her daughter in Shreveport, La. In her usual health as far as was known, Mrs. Bullock went out into the yard soon after breakfast to work among the flowers. As she stooped over to remove some dead leaves from a plant, she fell, and when loved ones reached her side, she was dead.

Mrs. Florence Bullock was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas F. Bullock, pioneer residents of Brazos county. She was about 53 years of age, and was born and reared in the Steep Hollow community. A noble Christian from her early girlhood she lived daily the religion she cherished, and with God as her guide ``went about doing good in His name.'' The sick, the poor, the afflicted and sorrowful, know her ministerings, and her helpfulness and care. Death was sudden, without pain, without suffering. It is sweet to her many friends to know that she was spared a long and painful waiting. She has come into her reward, and her influence for good lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Florence Bullock is survived by her two daughters and four sons. The funeral was held at her late home, and interment made in the cemetery at Shreveport, La.

Note: Florence Bullock married Hugh Lemuel Bullock on 18 MAR 1885 in Brazos Co., TX.
