Funeral services for Florence Erskins Parker will be held on May 14, 2007, at 11A.M. at Friendship Baptist Church in Sikes, LA. Visitation will be held on May 13, 2007 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at Edmonds Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment will follow in the Friendship Church cemetery.
She was born on February 10, 1920, Mrs. Parker was 87.
Mrs. Parker is survived by two daughters; JoAnn Brinson and husband Bobby Clyde of Hodge, LA., Patricia Carnahan and husband Doug of Larkspur, CO., and one son; Mervin Gene Parker and wife Freda of Ruston, LA. Nine grandchildren; Teresa Miles, Connie Rogers, Bobby Brinson Jr., Angie Chandler, Trent Parker, Liz Cavazo, Jeff Parker, Kelly Bauer and Laura Carnahan.Thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband; Alvis Parker, one son; Douglas Parker and one great-granddaughter; Sheila Miles.
