Mrs. Parker Rites Sunday

Funeral services for Mrs. C. G. (Florence) Parker, 70, of 420 Parker lane, Bridge City, a resident of the Port Arthur area for 51 years, have been tentatively set for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Clayton-Thompson Funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Parker was pronounced dead on arrival Thursday about noon at St. Mary's hospital. She had been in ill health since January of this year.

Entombment will be in Hillcrest mausoleum in Bridge City. A native of Basile, La., Mrs. Parker was the widow of C. G. Parker, a longtime Port Arthur and Bridge City realtor who died in 1960. She was a member of the First Baptist church and the Order of Eastern Star of Bridge City.

Survivors are one son, Clarence B. Parker of Pomona, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. S. C. Jones of Bridge City, Mrs. L. S. Harrison of Guam, and Mrs. J. R. Baker and Mrs. P. A. Matthews, both of Pineville, La.; three brothers, C. L., A. C., and H. D. Sudduth, all of Port Arthur; one sister, Mrs. H. L. Elam of Reeves, La.; and 17 grandchildren.
