MRS. FLORENCE ALLEN

RAYVILLE (Special) -- Mrs. Florence Allen, a resident of Rt. 1, Rayville, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Fannie K. Smith yesterday afternoon after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. otday [sic today] in the Archibald Baptist Church with the Rev. John Blow officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ken Lawson.

Interment followed in the Lone Cherry Cemetery near Mangham, under direction of First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

The body of the deceased will lie in state at the Smith residence east of Archibald, on the Rayville Route 1, until time of services.

Mrs. Allen is survived by three daughters, Mrs. F. K. Smith of Route 1, Rayville, Mrs. Joyce Hanson, Rayville and Mrs. Betty Alford, Carthage, Miss.; four sons, Jim Allen, Andy Allen, Thurman Allen and Frankie Allen, all of Rayville; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Herrington, Picayune, Miss. and Mrs. Clara Futman, Greenville, Miss.
