Florette Ritter
Florette Ritter was born in Oakland on Dec. 4, 1926 and passed away in San Juan Capistrano on Jan. 24 after a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1980.
Florette worked in a defense plant in Alameda during World War II and later as a secretary. After her marriage, the Ritters owned a produce company that shipped vegetables all over the United States.
She was an avid reader, liked doing crossword puzzles and loved cats. She also loved golf and traveling and was a member of The Dana Point Yacht Club and C.A.R.E. of San Juan Capistrano, CA.
Survivors: sister, Renee Tornow of Independence, Oregon, one niece and two nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Pacific View Cemetery in Corona del Mar.
