Floyd Kelly

Funeral services for Floyd Albert Kelly, 84, were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, August 8, 1982, from the Ott and Lee Chapel in Forest. Rev. Leon Everett officiated. Interment was made in the Salem Cemetery in Scott County.

Kelly died on Frieday [sic Friday] at Greenville. He was a native of Newton County and had lived at Greenville for the past 35 years and was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Greenfield Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nona Mae Kelly, Greenville; three sons, Franklin D. Kelly, Greenville, Travis Harold Kelly, Newton and Rev. James Albert Kelly, Lake; one daughter, Sarah Jo Kelly, Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Ivy, Lake, Mrs. Elsi[e] Bounds, Laurel, and Mrs. Nannie Murial Saterfield, Jackson; 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were David Kelly, Carey Kelly, Barry Kelly, Robert Kelly, Dwayne Kelly, and Ray Posey.
