Died Wednesday, July 24, 1985, at Earl K. Long Memorial Hospital. He was 57, a native of Gloster, Miss., and resident of Baton Rouge.

Visiting at Brown Funeral Home, Gloster, Miss.; 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, and 8 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, near Gloster, Miss.

Survived by wife, Mrs. Mary Lula Whittington, Baton Rouge; two sons, Wayne Whittington, Baton Rouge, and Kenneth Whittington, Prairieville; three brothers, J.B. Whittington, Liberty, Miss., Hollis Whittington, Baton Rouge, and Grady Whittington, Augusta, Ga.; three sisters, Versie Freeman, Liberty, Miss., May Butler, Prairieville, and Bernice Bass, Gloster, Miss.; and four grandchildren.
