Aunt of Local Woman Is Buried At Olla

Mrs. R. E. Prestridge, Sr., 62, of Olla died in a Monroe hospital early last Friday morning.

Funeral services were held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Olla Methodist church with Rev. W. H. Carroll in charge. Interment, under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Columbia, was in the Olla cemetery.

Mrs. Prestridge, a daughter of the late Dr. Taylor, well known physician at Olla for years, was a wife of R. E. Prestridge, Sr., of Olla, who is in charge of the forestry work in the Olla district. She is also survived by two sons, R. E. Prestridge, Jr., of Baton Rouge and D. T. Prestridge of Olla; one daughter, Mrs. H. M. Blavins [sic Blevins] of Shreveport; two brothers, L. H. Taylor of Florence, Ala., and A. D. Taylor of Memphis, Tenn., and eight grandchildren.

Mrs. R. O. Cummings of Columbia is a niece.
