Frances Arinder
(October 15, 1935 - September 7, 2012)

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 in the Hathorn Funeral Home for Mrs. Frances Arinder, 76, of Columbia, who died Friday, Sept. 7 unexpectedly at her residence. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery. The Rev. J.R. Hartfield officiated at the services.

Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday,Sept. 9, at Hathorn Funeral Home.

She was born Oct. 15, 1935 to the late Walter and Donnie Mae Knight Harrell and worked as a seamstress. She attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed flower gardening and hummingbirds.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Mildred Harrell; brother, Charles Harrell and a sister, Irene McCain.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Arinder Sr. of Columbia; three sons, David Turnage of Gautier, Dale Mullins (Julie) of Columbia and Herbert Arinder Jr. of Hattiesburg; four daughters, Patsy Barber of Pearl, Judy Malek (David) of Deer Park, Texas, Pauline Carson (Kenny) of Bunkerhill and Christie Polk of Columbia; two brothers, D.S. Harrell (Edith) and Walter Harrell Jr. (Edith Merle) all of Columbia; four sisters, Thelma Morgan of Bridge City, La., Millie Mae Bass of Pensacola, Fla., Billie Sue Pittman of Kokomo and Kathryn Sanford Johnny) of Sumrall and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren,nieces, nephews and friends.

Hathorn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
