Frances Jane Baker McCall
Frances Jane Baker McCall, 79, a resident of Cleveland, Tenn., passed away Monday, March 13, 2006, in Cleveland.
Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Holt and the Rev. Othoe Stegall officiating. Burial follows in Evergreen Cemetery. A Remembrance of Life Service was to be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Westmore Church of God in Cleveland, with Pastor Kelvin Page, Dr. Roland Vaughan, Dr. Dan Black and the Rev. Wendell Smith officiating.
The family receives friends from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
She was the daughter of the late Carrie McCoin Baker and Robert Newt Baker. Her sister, Cleone Masters, and her niece, Charlotte Masters Holland, also preceded her in death. She was a retired missionary with Church of God. Along with her husband, they served from 1951 to 1986 in Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Central America, Mexico and Jamaica. She was also retired from Pentecostal Resource Center with 13 years of service. She served as a research assistant. She was a faithful member of Prayborne Ministries with Church of God, an organization made up of retired ministers and their spouses. She was a member of Westmore Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. William R. McCall of Cleveland. They were married 59 years with their 60th wedding anniversary coming in April. Other survivors include her sons, Dr. Robert D. McCall and his wife, Lynn, of Cleveland and Mack B. McCall and his wife, Raquel, of Friendswood; her grandchildren, R. Stephen McCall and his wife, Misty, of Cleveland, William Christopher ?Chris? McCall and his wife, Kim, of Yuma, Ariz., Angela Cochran and her husband, Ryan, of Austin and Paul J. McCall of Durham, N.C.; her great-grandchildren, Jessica Harper, Jacob McCall, McKenna McCall, Reiley McCall, Reed McCall and Anna Marie Cochran who will soon be here; her aunts, Louise McCoin of Paris, Lois McCoin of California and Ruth Shires of Hurst; her uncle, Louis McCoin and his wife, Betty, of Paris, her sister-in-law, Queen Esther Stringer of Lufkin, her brother-in-law, David D. McCall of Orangeburg, S.C.; her cousins, Dr. Robert White and his wife, Kathy of Georgia, and Herb Southers and his wife, Carol, of Hurst, and several nieces and nephews.
