Frances Meredith Adams
(March 13, 1918 - July 27, 2016)

Frances Meredith Adams, Milton-Freewater, OR passed away July 27, 2016 at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center in Walla Walla, WA at the age of 98 years. Memorial services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1113 Lamb Street, Milton-Freewater, OR on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 2:30 P.M.

Frances was born March 13, 1918 in Columbia, LA the daughter of Thomas Ansley Meredith and Lulu Reitzell Meredith Brasher. She graduated from Columbia High School in 1935, where she was an honor student and was involved in sports: playing basketball and was a cheerleader for the Crimson Tide Football Team. She also loved riding horses. She attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA.

Frances became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1942. She was an avid Bible student and for 74 years she taught the Bible to many people.

She married her childhood sweetheart, Gordon Keith Adams in Columbia, LA. The couple lived in Shreveport, LA before moving to Houston, TX, Portland, OR and finally retiring in Milton-Freewater. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her father in 1925, her mother in 1969 and all of her nine siblings.

The highlight of her life was the birth of her daughter, Margaret K. Bradshaw in 1937 and her grandson, Nathan K. Bradshaw in 1975. She had a special love for her son-in-law Phillip D. Bradshaw.
