Memorial services for Francis W. Knippers, 72, of Hornbeck will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 6 pm at the South Park Baptist Church in Leesville, with Bro. Jesse Buck & Bro. Collins officiating. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.

Francis, the daughter of Ralph and Sylvestie Ross was born on December 18, 1944, in Many, Louisiana. She passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Ms. Francis was not only known as Mama and MawMaw to her own children and grandchildren, but to many children in her community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, George Weaver, Billy Ray Knippers, Windell Sigler; the Old Man; children, Ferlin Knippers & Cheryl Sigler; siblings, Faye Johnson, Harvey Gibson and Dianne Williams; grandchild, Shantall Knippers and great-grandchild, Davin Russ.

She is survived by children, Richard Knippers (Cookie) of Hornbeck, Sis Keele (Raymond) of Hornbeck, Dave Weaver (Mary) of Hornbeck, Regina Knippers of Hornbeck, Susan Russ (Horace) of Many, Jennifer Luke (Lawrence) of Hornbeck and Tristian Sigler of Hornbeck; siblings, Carolyn Wilbur, Gene Gibson, Wayne Ross, Barb Treese, Yvonne Parker, and Laverne Gibson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews and a very special friend, Jerry Goins.
