MCALEER

Funeral Services for Mr. Francis McAleer will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens. Mr. McAleer was a resident of Jacksonville for 38 years. He retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer after 22 years of service. He was a veteran of WW II. He also worked at the Jacksonville Shipyards for 22 years as a shipfitter before retiring in 1969. He was also a member of the Naval Fleet Reserve #126.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred McAleer; a daughter, Susan McAleer; three sons, Francis McAleer II, Joseph McAleer and Michael McAleer, all of Jacksonville; and two grandchildren. Mr. McAleer will receive full military honors at the graveside. The family will receive friends from 12 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
