Frank Allen Brown

Funeral services for Mr. Frank Allen Brown, age 76, of Sterlington will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 1996 from the Columbia chapel of Riser & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Brown and Rev. James Mooney officiating. Interment followed in the Robert Cemetery at Kelly.

Mr. Brown, a retired pipeline construction employee, died Wednesday, October 9, 1996 at the North Monroe Community Hospital in Monroe following a brief illness.

Frank Allen Brown was born on February 28, 1920 in Marion to the union of his late parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wesley Brown. Mr. Brown was a resident of Sterlington for 18 years, and was a member of Steamfitters Local 659 in Monroe for approximately 48 years. He was also a member of the Rocky Branch Assembly of God.

Survivors include: his wife of 52 years, Alene Newson [sic Newsom] Brown of Sterlington; four sons, Donald Brown of Bastrop, Preston Brown of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gregory Brown of Selma, Alabama, and Doyle Brown of Monroe; two daughters, Judy McLean of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Patsy Strange of Forest Hill; one sister, Mrs. Mary Ford of Farmerville; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were members of the Rocky Branch Church of God.
