Frank Cain Whittington, Jr.

Frank Cain Whittington, Jr. a native of Woodville, and longtime resident of Centreville, passed away Monday, February 25, 2013, after a lengthy battle with cancer, at Ochsner Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La. He was 78 years old.

Mr. Whittington was born December 9, 1934 in in Centreville,Ms. He was the only child of the late Frank Cain Whittington Sr. and the late Lucille Hill Whittington. He was a life-long member of Woodville Baptist Church. Mr. Frank, as everybody knew him, was well known throughout Southwest Ms. and beyond. He was a self-employed “trader”, primarily involved in the purchasing and selling of real estate, heavy equipment, and timber.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Camille Williams Whittington; Three daughters, Pamela W. Taylor and husband Ronny of Liberty, Ms. Angela W. Hagan and husband Frank “Butch”, of Centreville, Ms. and Lisa W. Fisher and husband Chuck of Centreville, Ms. 5 Grandchildren: Ronald Lee Taylor Jr. of Liberty, Ms., Christina H. Cavin and husband Jay, of Woodville, Ms., Hannah Hagan of Centreville, Ms., Rebecca Hagan of Centreville, Ms., and Camille Fisher of Centreville. Two Great-grandchildren: Elizabeth and Cain Cavin of Woodville, Ms.

Visiting is Thursday, 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home in Gloster. Also visiting Friday, 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Friday, at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Gloster. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery in Centreville, Ms.

Pallbearers will be Jay Cavin, Dan Dalton, Gene Horne, Bobby McCartney, Ronald Lee Taylor Jr., and Lane White. Honorary Pallbearers will be his granddaughters: Christina H. Cavin, Hannah Hagan, Rebecca Hagan, and Camille Fisher.
