Dr. Fred James Fullerton
Dr. Fred James Fullerton, 72, of Conway, died Saturday (Aug. 28, 1999) of complications from heart surgery at McClellan Veterans Hospital in Little Rock.
Born July 23, 1927, in Formosa (Van Buren County), son of Fred H. and Gladys Evans Fullerton, he was a veterinarian, having received his DVM from Oklahoma State University. He was also a deputy administrator of the USDA, a real estate developer, a veteran of World War II and a member of First United Methodist Church in Conway.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Frances Mott Fullerton; a son, Fred J. Fullerton Jr. of Russellville; a daughter, Fran Ragsdale of Conway; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with the Rev. Phil Hathcock officiating. Burial will be in Adams Cemetery in Johnson County.
Pallbearers will be Dr. Kenneth McEnroe, Chris Maitin, Dr. Lowell C. Ragsdale, Joe Mott, Jerry Whitmore and Bill Duvall.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church.
