``Grandpa'' Fred Dunn Died At Home Of Daughter, Mrs. W. T. Ford
Funeral services for "Grandpa" F. L. Dunn, Sr., 82, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.
T. Ford October 29th were held October 30th at 2 P. M. at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church with the
Rev. G. W. Wall and Rev. J. W. Lee in charge. Had Mr. Dunn lived until December 12th he would have
been 83 years of age.
Mr. Dunn is survived by one brother, Steven Dunn of Rockwell, Texas, two sisters, Mrs. Bendit
Brooks of ward 5 and Senethia Cottingham of Beaumont, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. W. T. Ford of ward 4,
and two sons, Fred Dunn Jr., of Columbia and Randall Dunn of Port Arthur, Texas, and a host of
grandchildren.
Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery under direction of the Riser Funeral Home, Columbia.
Grand Dunn was one of the most popular aged citizens of the parish, and this newspaper as well as
his many friends regret to hear of his death and wish to extend to the immediate family and other
relatives our deep sympathy.
