Fred Dunn Is Killed By Tree

Accidents Occurred During Past Week

Funeral services for Fred Dunn, 68, of Columbia route 2, who was killed instantly by a falling tree while cutting wood Thursday, November 23, about 2:30 p.m. were held the following afternoon about 2:30 o'clock at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist church, with Rev. I. O. Dunn of ward six in charge.

Survivors are a brother, Randell Dunn of Port Arthur, Tex., and a sister, Mrs. W. T. Ford, Sr. of Mt. Pleasant community.

At the time of his death he was making his home with the Weeden Ford family, who reside on the ward 5 road.

Mr. Dunn was the son of the late Fred Dunn Sr., one of the pioneers who settled across the river from Riverton.
