Fred L. Whitten
NEBO -- Services for Fred L. Whitten will be at 2 p.m. today in Cross Roads Baptist Church with the Revs. Harold Holland, Herbert Whitten and Jim Love officiating. Burial will be in Tidwell Cemetery under direction of Kinner & Stevens, Jena.
Whitten, 77, of Nebo died Tuesday, Oct. 1, 1996, in Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Houston, Texas.
He was a Baptist, an electrician and a World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Bradford Whitten of Nebo; two sons, Perry Whitten of Amelia and Michael Whitten of Chicago, Ill.; one daughter, Ailice [sic Alice] Sue Redich of Woodstock, Ga.; two sisters, Inez Weems of Tullos and Nell Smith of Las Vegas, Nev.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may [call] at the church until time of services today.
