FRED PERRY WHITTEN
BASTROP (Special) -- Fred Perry Whitten, 67, of Bastrop died at his residence yesterday morning after a lengthy illness.
Funeral arrangements last night were incomplete, but services will be held at the First Methodist Church here with the Rev. Staples officiating, assisted by Rev. Hollond.
Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Blackwell - Golden Funeral Home.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Burnetta W. Whitten, Bastrop; two sons, O. D. Whitten, Shadduck, Okla.; F. L. Whitten, Bastrop; three daughters, Mrs. E. T. Weems, Grand Cane; Mrs. Earl Smith, New Orleans; Mrs. Sam Perrault, Natchez, Miss.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; five brothers, T. B. and J. E., both of Start; L. L. of Borger, Tex., M. O. of Monroe; J. L. of Little Rock, Ark.; and one sister, Mrs. Lee Taylor, Start.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for services.
