Fred Welton Walker
Funeral services for Fred W. Walker, 83, will be held 11AM Thursday, August 2, 2007 in the chapel at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME 111 Blanding Blvd. Orange Park, Florida with Rev. J.R. Deetz and Dr. Sam Pickenpaugh officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Walker was born on July 8, 1924 in Claire [sic Clara], Mississippi and went home to be with the Lord on July 29, 2007. Mr. Walker served his country proudly in the United States Navy as he was a survivor of Pearl Harbor. He was employed by CSX Railroad as an Engineer and retired after 37 years of dedicated service. Mr. Walker loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Walker was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Walker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Nell H. Walker; step-daughter, Pam Stubbs; brother, Grady R. Walker, granddog, Misfit, and many other loving family members and friends.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday (TODAY) from 5PM-7PM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME.
