Freddie Letha McGrath
Freddie Letha McGrath, 85, of Big Spring, died on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, in a local nursing home. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2005 at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Chaplain Carroll Kohl, officiating and Pastor Wayne Frost of St. Paul Lutheran Church, assisting.
She was born on June 17, 1919, in Neches, Texas.
Ms. McGrath served three years in the United States Army during World War II as a nurse at Veteran's hospitals in California and Waco, Texas. She came to Big Spring in 1956 from Ohio and worked as a registered nurse at the Big Spring Veterans Administration Medical Center for 23 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is survived by one son, Michael James McGrath of Big Spring.
She was preceded in death by one son, Larry McGrath in 1976 and three sisters, Liz Hale, Ann Wilkerson and Jo Cope.
