Mrs. Fronie Bolivar Simmons
Mrs. Fronie Bolivar Simmons, 74, a resident of Rt. 1, Box 158, Long Beach, died at 11:35 p.m. Monday at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Born March 22, 1901, in Plain View, Tex., she lived in Ellisville, Miss., prior to moving to Long Beac[h] in 1945.
A Baptist, Mrs. Simmons was known for the pied and cakes she baked for the 4-H market. She was a former member of the Home Demonstration Club and the widow of William Reuben Simmons, who died April 21, 1974.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Thomas Simmons of Gulfport and William Robert Simmons of Southhaven, Miss.; four daughters, Mrs. Opel Jordan of Gulfport, Mrs. Eloise Mohler of Long Beach, Mrs. Dorothy Bourne of Jacksonville, Fla., and Mrs. Martha Jo Bourne of Adelaine [sic Adelaide], Australia; 24 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Tuesday at the Riemann Funeral Home chapel in Long Beach.
The funeral will be held from the chapel at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday followed by interment in Evergreen Gardens.
