G. E. McKeithen

G. E. McKeithen, father of Mrs. W. J. Carr of Port Lavaca, and grandfather of A. G. McKeithen Jr., died in Monroe, La., late Thursday night.

Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Pauline McKeithen; six daughters, a son and 22 grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson, La.

Aged Former Resident Died In Monroe

G. E. McKeithen, 83 of Columbia, died Thursday in a Monroe hospital after a long illness. He was making his home with a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Walters.

He was a first cousin of Louisiana Governor John J. McKeithen.

Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home.

Burial was made in the Welcome Home Cemetery under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Survivors are the widow: Mrs. Pauline Lucy McKeithen, presently a patient in a Monroe nursing home; six daughters, Mrs. Walters, of Monroe; Mrs. Clyde Biggs, Kelly; Mrs. Moise Saucier of Shreveport, Mrs. Theresa Biggers of Covington, Mrs. Joyce Carr of Port Lavaca, Texas and Mrs. Florence Bates of Alexandria; a son, O. A. McKeithen of Baker, and a brother, Dr. Robert S. McKeithen of Colfax.
