Gardner Wallace

WINNSBORO -- Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday for Gardner Wallace, 84, of Winnsboro, who died at 9 p.m. Wednesday at Franklin Parish Hospital after a brief illness.

Edler [sic Elder] Joe W. Bradford will officiate at First National Funeral Home here with burial in Oakley Cemetery near Gilbert.

Mr. Wallace, a native of Mississippi, had lived in Franklin Parish for the past 72 years. He was a retired farmer and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Eva Delaughter of Brookhaven, Miss., Mrs. Bonnie Robertson of Gilbert, Mrs. Thelma King of Wisner, Mrs. Fannie Hill and Mrs. Nina Rodgers, both of Winnsboro; one half-sister, Mrs. Rosie Spears of Winnsboro; 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
