GARICE CALVIN BARFIELD

Garice Calvin Barfield of Route l, Ideal, Ga. died Sunday, September 10, at the home of his niece in Byron, Ga. He was a native of Taylor County but had lived in Ideal for many years. He was seventy-six years of age and a retired farmer.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Barfield were held at 3 PM Monday, September 11, 1978 in the Bethelehem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Taylor County. The presiding minister was Elder Bentley Adams. Pallbearers were Grover, Allen, Rodney and Herbert Shehee, E. C. Raburn and Reese Layfield.

Surviving Mr. Barfield are one sister, Mrs. Grady Flowers of Ideal; two nieces, Mrs. James H. Shehee of Byron, Ga., and Mrs. Ralph Pinegar of Warner Robins; three nephews, Wilbur Taylor of Eastman , Lester Taylor of Phenix City, Alabama and Audrey Taylor of Perry.

Watson-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
