Funeral services for Mr. Gary Curtis Stapleton will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Hixson Brothers' Chapel with Rev. Ricky Vines and Rev. Mickey Hudnall officiating. Interment will follow in the Hawthorne Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena.
Mr. Stapleton, 57, was born July 20, 1951 and passed from this life on June 17, 2009.
Mr. Stapleton was a Self-employed Welder.
He is survived by his wife Jeanette Pritchard Stapleton; two sons, Jack Stapleton of Jena, LA and Curt Stapleton of Belah, LA; one step-son, Keith Pritchard of Zenoria, LA; One daughter, Susie Pritchard of Belah, LA; One step-daughter, Amanda Greer of Trout, LA; Two brothers, Mac Stapleton and Dub Stapleton both of Trout, LA; Three sisters, Gladys Elliott and Sue Purvis both of Jonesville, LA and Nana Terrall of Gautier, MS; Ten Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son Charlie Bill Stapleton; his parents, G. C. and Elaine Stapleton; One sister, Nadine Parker; Nephew, Bo Stapleton.
Pallbearers were Jackie Cockerham, Buddy Sanders, Dwan Stringer, J. L. Paul, Larry Morphis, Roger Whatley, and Bubba Loe.
Honorary pallbearers were Lavelle Pritchard, Joe Pugh, W. L. Huffman, Harvey Joe Price, Larry Martin, Randy Loe, and Charles Ray Hudnall.
