Gary Homer Kent, 61, of McComb, died July 7, 2011 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center in McComb, MS. Visitation is Friday, July 8, 2011, 5:00 until 8:00 P M at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb, MS. Funeral services are 10:00 A. M. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Catchings Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in the Hollywood Cemetery in McComb.
Mr. Kent was born September 21, 1949 to Charles Homer Kent and Nadine Wooley Kent. He was a self employed carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be missed very much by his family.
Survivors include: wife: Kerry White Kent; step son: Ralph J. Morgan of McComb; daughters: Jo Jo Sullivan of McComb and Dee Dee McPhail and husband Mark of Grapevine, TX; brother: Charles Paul Kent and wife Ira of Georgia; grandchildren: Christian Blake Morgan, Brittany Starr Coumbe, John Morgan, Savannah Roberts, Kent Sullivan, Kelly-Ann Sullivan; and one great grandchild: Emily Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son in law: Ronald Roberts; step daughters: Crissy Morgan and Kelly Ross; sister: Alice Kent.
