MRS. GAY MONROE MOODY

Funeral services for Mrs. Gay Lynn Monroe Moody, age 68, will be held at 10:30AM, Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at the Trinity Worship Center, Springhill, LA with Bro. Tommy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be Monday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.

Mrs. Moody, a resident of Springhill, LA was born March 25, 1938 in West Monroe, LA and passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006, in Shreveport, LA. She was a founding member of the Trinity Worship Center, member of the One Accord Trio and was presently singing with the Southern Heritage Quartet in Shreveport, LA, a quartet that was a reconstitution of the Monroe Teenage Quartet who sang together on the radio as teenagers. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Bob Moody of Springhill, LA; son, Trey Moody of Springhill, LA; daughter, Cindy Moody Freeman and husband Charlie of Carencro, LA; grandchildren, Grant and Ross Freeman of Carencro, LA and Chelsey and Peyton Moody of Springhill, LA; sisters, Nelda Frey of Longview, TX and Jan Harrison and husband Jim of Plano, TX, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin C. and Gladys May Crain Monroe.

Pallbearers will be Keith Killore, Shane Thompson, Andy Bryan, Carl Harrison, Jason Mikelonis, and Budd Judd.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rand Killore, Keith Thomas, Mark Windham, Jerry Deloach, David Brumley, Mack Garrett, and Ruel Davis.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Trinity Worship Center or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
