Memorial graveside services for Gaylon Darrell McDaniel, 63, of Winslow, Ariz., and son of Gertrude McDaniel, of Carthage, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Antioch Cemetery the Rev. Johnny Mills, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Don Lipsey Funeral Home. He died of cancer Sunday at his home.
A retired school teacher, he was the son of Gertrude McDaniel and the late H.V. McDaniel, of Carthage. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy E. McDaniel; and his father.
Survivors include his wife, Rita Shreve McDaniel of Winslow; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Bret Maley, of Coppell; son and daughter-in-law, Paull Darrell and Kim McDaniel, of Minneapolis, Minn.; sisters, Peggy LaGrone, of Oak Ridge, and Patsy Mills, of Carthage; mother and father-in-law, Clyde and Ina Shreve, of Winslow; grandsons, Mark Maley of Coppell, and Alex Paul McDaniel, of Minneapolis.
Also nieces and nephews: Steve McDaniel, of Sandy Springs, Okla., Martin McDaniel, of the Antioch community, Peter McDaniel, of Okinawa, Japan, William McDaniel, of Dalton, Ga., Paige LaGrone McGonigal and Dana Davis, both of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Jeffrey LaGrone, of Boston, Mass., Jonathan Mills, of Carthage, and Jan Mills, of Woodville. Including cousins, aunts, an uncle, great-nieces and great-nephews.
