Gene Ducote
(September 10, 1938 - November 9, 2012)

Funeral services for Gene Ducote will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 in the chapel of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie with Rev. David Newton officiating. Burial will be in Griffin Hill Cemetery in Lone Pine, under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Mr. Ducote, age 74, of Lone Pine, passed away on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 in his residence. He was a retired carpenter and painter. He was preceded in death by his son, Roscoe Ducote.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Helen Wall Ducote of Lone Pine; two sons, Benny Ducote and wife, Connie, of Bunkie and Ronnie Ducote and wife, Tina, of Lone Pine; two daughters, Kathy Aymond and husband, Leonard, of Bunkie and Tammi Bernard and husband, Todd, of Bunkie; one sister, Josephine Smith and husband, Eugene, of Bunkie; eleven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Glen Lemoine, Mitch Aymond, Vernon Thomason, Todd Bernard, Branch Wall, Jr. and Robbie Lutz. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Cormier, Lionel Miller, Dale DeSelle and Leonard Aymond.

Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 beginning at 4:30 p.m. and on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 from 8 a.m. until service time.
