Mrs. Geneva S. “Berta” Crain

SHREVEPORT - Services for Mrs. Geneva S. “Berta” Crain, 83, of Shreveport, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday July 6 at Rose-Neath's Marshall Street Chapel. The Rev. Jimmy Eppinette, pastor of Northwoods Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at Forest Park West Cemetery.

Mrs. Crain, a housewife, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday July 4, 1984, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born in Sikes, La., had lived in Shreveport most of her life, and was a member of Linwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Darwin Crain of Marshall, Texas, Glen Crain of Anchorage, Alaska and Jerry Crain of Bossier City; two sisters, Mrs. Bryan Hathorne of Pineville, La. and Mrs. I.P. Simmons of Monroe, La.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
