WAXAHACHIE -- Geneva Cockerham, 86, a homemaker, died Sunday, March 16, 1997, at an Italy, Texas, nursing center.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Wednesday at Farley Street Baptist Church in Waxahachie. Burial: Bethel Cemetery near Waxahachie.
Geneva Cockerham was born Feb. 18, 1911, in Waxahachie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Dewey Cockerham, on Sept. 12, 1985, and a son, R. B. Cockerham, on July 16, 1966.
Survivors: Sons, Sam Cockerham and Woodroy Cockerham, both of Avalon; daughters, Dorothy Glenn of Avalon, Elizabeth Jones of Milford, Bertha Sims of Alvarado, Thelma Sims of Whitney and Linda Montgomery and Georgia Gladney, both of Waxahachie; 34 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a nephew she reared, Raymond Cockerham of Mesquite.
