Geneva Armstrong
Funeral services for Mrs. Geneva Armstrong, age 88 of Minden, will be held Monday July 14, 2008 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Rader Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Smith & Rev Leymin Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Armstrong passed away Friday July 11, 2008 in a Tyler Hospital.
Geneva Armstrong was born August 27, 1919 in Henderson and was a lifetime resident of Rusk County. She was retired paper carrier for the Henderson Daily News where she worked for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Roquemore Missionary Baptist Church. Geneva was a devoted loving mother, grandmother, & sister.
She was preceded in death by husbands Norris Porter & B.K. Armstrong, and her parents Forrest C. & Golda Propes.
She is survived by her daughters Pat Casterline of Minden & Carolyn Parker of Turnertown, son Don Porter of Gladewater brother Clyde O. Propes of Summerville, Grandchildren Shawn Hazelwood , Jerry Timmons, Lance Parker, Brandon Parker, Richard Seymour, Theresa Johnson, Robert Delaney, Patricia Ingram, Shirley Sims, Karen Murchisnon, and Darla Porter
Pallbearers will be Ben Tillison, Gerald Howeth, George Gossett, Steve Propes, Donald Reynolds, and Ricky Don Porter.
The Family visitation will be from 2pm until 4pm Sunday at the funeral home.
